Dear Community, we have installed WEBCON BPS Standalone and published it through Azure AD Application Proxy. We are synchronising users in BPS with on-premises Active Directory. Currently we experience timeout issues after some time of inactivity on WEBCON BPS site. Sometimes it's few minutes, sometimes about 1 hour. See example in attachments. Please notice that WEBCON BPS and SQL Server (VMs) are placed in Azure. Does anyone experience same issues? Any feedback is more than welcome :)
We are in the process of setting up Sandbox environment. Installed 2021.1.2.136 version successfully , Activated temporary license received from webcon and activated it. When tried to login to Designer studio initially , it's giving that "No rights for designer Studio " message. How can I assign designer studio access? Not sure what is missing.
Hi everyone, does someone has an idea, how I can add a mail address to a local user account? If I want to add one, I get an error, that the existing BPS Id does not match the UPN format. background information: a customer uses a single server machine for running a test environment for WEBCON BPS. I'm working to migrate our on prem WebCon to our GCC High instances of O365. Currently working on the dev instance. I'm having issues just installing WebCon. Even on a clean box, I get the following error on "Content Database Creation" I've tried, cleaning up the databases and users, and restarting the box and retrying install. Leads to the same error, I've installed WebCon a handful of times and never seen this particular issue before. I'm trying to install a slightly older version to match (...)
Hello Webcon community! We are wondering if there exist any common approaches / tools / patterns for transferring workflow data between different environments. We have an on-premise environment for DEV (with internal AD) and an environment for PROD (which resides in Azure VM and connects to Azure AD). What are your experiences to sync data, e.g. from PROD to DEV or TEST between different environments (different ADs) and is there even an easy way of how to do it? Thanks a lot in advance for (...)
Hello Webcon community! We have the next issue during Webcon BPS installation on customers server. This is a normal on-premise installation, no Azure AD involved here, only local domain. Customer had an invalid certificate, IIS website creation failed with error 0x80070520, so we skipped the IIS site creation for the moment. I have 2 questions on this: 1.) Dear Forum, We have completed our test installation of webcon environment but can't connect to designer with https. Webcon portal, and main access to system works through https but with designer we're getting an error that portal is not under that address. when we switch to http it works. Where do we change this setting for designer?
Good morning, following information to resolve another issue with one server I updated this from 2022.1.2.59 to 2022.1.3.65, including all pre-requisites. Installation and database conversion as well as service start went through without error. But unfortunatly the portal does not come up again; also a connect through Designer Studio fails. Dear Community, does anyone have any experience installing WEBCON BPS Standalone version on SQL server Web Edition? Tried to find you if this version of SQL server is eligible to use with WEBCON BPS but didn't find anything accurate. From technical perspective it should work (required full-text search feature is available). With this SQL server Web edition license costs can be significantly reduced (i.e. in Azure workloads). Hi everyone I would like to ask you how to remove studio users license. Removing workflow users license is obvious (click on "Release license"), but studio users license is probably more complicated. I would be greatful for any help Regards
Hi community! Maybe this is a silly question, but I'm asking it anyway ;-) In Webcon BPS management tools one has to provide a portal URL, so this looks like a fixed Url for the whole portal. Is it possible to run the same Webcon BPS Portal with different URLs pointing to different applications on the same server for different use cases? Hi, We installed a fresh Webcon server and attached the backup of the config database to a new SQL Server and connected it to the new Webcon server. The config database now has references to the old host and the new host. Is it possible to remove the old host from the config db? Thanks
1. We currently have installed version 2023.1.1.56, and I cannot find it in the platform center anymore. 2. Does anyone know if importing processes from this to 2023.1.1.89 works? Or do I need to do an upgrade first? 3. Is there anything we need to consider when updating this missing version?

Hello, after creating a new development environment, I wanted to install the ABBYY FineReader component. I am getting an error during installation. What does it come from? The error appears after entering the activation code and selecting the option: install license server. I am performing the operation on my user - I have local administrator rights.

After upgrading the program to version 2022.1.4, the system informs that it is in maintenance mode. I thought the update went fine. SQL Server, IIS and WebCon process works correctly. What else should I check? How to "turn off" maintenenace mode?
Hi all! We have a new customer who has a central IT service department. As for the database, we can just order a certain amount of databases, which we then have access to. The question is, is it even possible to install Webcon into existing databases (e.g. Config, Content, Att,...) or do we need a fresh SQL instance from the customer and an admin account with db_creator or sysadmin rights (as described in the installation manual)?
