Schedule maintenance with notification on homepage UNDER REVIEW
2

Dear Community,
I’ve come up with an idea to enhance how we schedule maintenance service windows in WEBCON BPS.
What if we introduced the ability to set maintenance periods (either ad-hoc or recurring) directly within the system (in Studio or on website in Admin area)?
This would allow users to see a notification on their WEBCON BPS homepage, informing them of upcoming scheduled maintenance.

I believe this feature could improve communication and transparency, helping users plan accordingly for any service interruptions.

If you like this idea, please vote for it.

Hi Adam
There is built-in mechanism in WEBCON BPS but it works only during DB maintenance.
During WEBCONBPS site maintenance, you can use dedicated IIS Sites (with a dedicated Application Pool). That site is stopped during normal WEBCON BPS operation and started during Portal maintenance only.

Dear Pawel,
thanks for your response.
My idea was to schedule a maintenance in future. For example, set an scheduled maintenance activities on 10th of October. Until then when users will be opening WEBCON BPS website, they can see notification about planned maintenance on 10th of October.

Have you thought about using WEBCON BPS - > Welcome Text?

Yes and from my experience uses don't read it.
I'm pretty sure if this could be a pop-up banner (like the one about cookies) with solid background color displayed on top it will be noticed.
I could add form rule with alert option for every (or most) processes. Global banner with customized text probably would be good option.

I'm not looking for a solution here - this is just my idea and user voice I find useful.

Best.
