The same functionality would also be useful in other data sources – for example, in a REST API.

As for the dictionary data source functionality, you may achieve the same result by creating a custom (non-predefined) data source.

As for the REST data source, we need to evaluate whether a larger group of users would benefit from it. Therefore, feel free to enter your voices of support in this thread or at least give it a like, so we could address it accordingly.
