Report filtering

Hi,
Is there a chance to add alternative way of filtering data on reports based on text fields rather than filtering specific values? It's quicker for user to enter directly search phrase rather than choosing from list, even filtered values (sometimes user have to check multiple options that meet search phrase). Additionally it skips one sql query used for generating list of values in filter.
It could be defined on report parameters or available to switch by the user.
