The year 2023 begins for us with a visit to the Poznań University of Technology. The WIZ- BIZ-LOG DAY event held on January 16th at the Poznań University of Technology provided an opportunity for WEBCON BPS to be presented at the modern building of the Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Engineering Management. It was also revealed that WEBCON BPS Designer Desk is an effective didactic tool for introducing students to the world of designing processes and automating document flows.
The event was organized by the Institute of Logistics of the Faculty of Engineering Management, WEBCON and Raben companies.
The day began with a presentation by the organizers, followed by a practical case study presented by Robert Ogierman, IT Projects Coordinator at Raben, who showed students how to implement the WEBCON BPS system. The participants seemed to enjoy very much the lecture on selecting the right strategy for implementing a low-code platform (an elephant, a snake nest, or an octopus? 😉), moving on from a problem to a ready-made application, and managing the system in a multinational (thus multicultural) organization.
However, the highlight of the event followed the presentation and the Q&A session: Student Process Hackathon.
The teams of 3-4 students drew the business processes topics. They were tasked with designing a document workflow prototype, form, and interesting reports using WEBCON BPS Designer Desk, and documenting their work for easy implementation. Raben and WEBON experts assisted students in this four-hour marathon.
The winners will be announced in a couple of weeks and all honored teams will be awarded.
It seems though that all participants are the winners here. Overall, the students found the event to be interesting and effective, and the lecturers gained a new didactic tool. The event aims to encourage the new generation entering the labor market to take interest in LCAP platforms and BPS.
