Filtering on Global peoplepicker field added on Report(Column)

We have 2 processes: Accounts and Payables .
I have created a report for those 2 processes with global form fields fields. Among them there 2 people picker fields. The report is pulling all the requests without any issues but when I tried to filter on the global people picker
Column, it is not showing the data.
Example: we have a Requestor people picker Technical form field. There are few requests submitted by 2 people: Test1 and Test2 . When the request is submitted, the Requestor Form field gets populated by these people names. I have created a report for those 2 processes and the report view is showing the requests submitted by these 2 people: test 1 and Test2 without any issues.
When I tried filtering on the Requestor Column on the report by Test1, it is not showing anything even though there are requests for test1.
If I click on Group option on the Requestor column, a grid is being displayed for Test1 and Test2 and able see their requests.
Not sure why filtering by the requestor name is not working.
