REST API with User Context
0

Hello,

just struggeling with setting up the REST API to create new elements from external app. It works fine in application context but I do not find a suitable guide on how to do this in user context.

Do I have to enter the username and user e-mail-address in the mask as I assume?

What is the "Authorized Redirect URIs" good for and where do I get this from?

And: What is the main purpose of this setup instead of an application context?
Can someone please deliver a good example?

Can anybody please assist me in getting this solved out? Is ther any HowTo that I missed?

Thanks for your help, Ingo

Hi Ingo,

this is the only documentation I’m aware of:
https://developer.webcon.com/docs/registration-and-authentiaction/
Samples
https://github.com/WEBCON-BPS

I wasn’t in the situation to use a newly created Application (Client Id) with WEBCON BPS 2022, yet. So I can’t help with any issues here.

Nevertheless I don’t have the slightest what you are doing in regards to the Redirect URL. This is neither an Azure Application where you could provide a redirect URL nor do you want an active authentication by the user if you want to use impersonation. Ok, I can thing of use cases where you would like to do this also but it has nothing to do with the WEBCON BPS impersonation itself.

Best regards,
Daniel
