Hello to everybody,
right before the weekend I once more need your help: My client asks if there is any machanism to enable a person, who already has received tasks as a substitute, to assign his or her substitute to these tasks. The client wishes an automated feature for this.
Example:
01-10-2022: Person A defines Person Z as substitute from October, 2nd to October 10th
02-10-2022: Person Z receives a task as a substitute for Person A
05-10-2022: Person Z defines Person P as a substitute from October, 8th to 10th
08-10-2022: Person Z receives another task as a substitute for Person A; This should be sent to Person P as substitute of person Z.
My result is that this cannot be achieved with the standard mechanism as this only allows to choose a substitute if a task is created on one level.
I would suggest these alternatives:
1) An administrator needs to define Person P as substitute for Person A in the period given.
2) If the substitutions are stored in the database and can be retreived with an SQL statement, I think of an automated workflow that will shift the tasks based on the substitution information.
Is there any other approach you have created or that can be configured?
