Webcon won't install due to SQL Server version
0

I've been trying to install the newest Webcon version and the installer gives me the information that I must have Cumulative update 29 (15.0.4410.1) installed to continue. The problem is that I haveall the most recent updates and when I try to install the desired update manually, I get:
"A SQL Server update with a higher version has already been installed on SQL Server instance MSSQLSERVER, so the current SQL Server update cannot be applied. The version of the SQL Server update that is already installed is GDR 15.0.2165.1(15.0.4465.0) with a KBKB5084817 and the current SQL Server update is 15.0.4430.1 with a KBKB5054833."

I don't understand why Webcon won't install if the updater sais I have all there needs to be? Anyone with the same problems?

Hi Michał,

I've only an unlikely reason. Do you have multiple SQL server instances and WEBCON is using a different one which doesn't have the update applied?

Best regards,
Daniel

No, just one instance, mssql installed exclusively for webcon. :(
The thing that bothers me is the two different numbers of versions - GDR 15.0.2165.1(15.0.4465.0) - maybe Webcon installer uses the incorrect one thinking it is not the right one?
