In WEBCON BPS you have the ability of changing the format of displayed form fields – “Date and time” and “Floating-point number” type. The format of displaying these fields also depends on the browser time zone settings and the selected WEBCON BPS system language.
Date format depending on the configuration
a) Date displaying
The configuration from Fig. 1. displays only the date on the form (Fig.2).

b) Date and time displaying
After selecting the “Enable time selection” field, the date and time are displayed on the form (Fig. 4) – in this case, this is the time for the UTC time zone.

c) Date and time displaying according to the time zone
After selecting the additional “User time zone settings” option, the date and time with UTC+2 time zone (according to the browser settings) will be displayed.

d) The impact of the portal language on the format of the “Date and Time Type” form field
The format of displayed data also depends on the WEBCON BPS portal language.

Fig. 8 presents the date format of the English version for all previously created “Date and time” form fields.

e) Date and time displaying in the text field
Remember that the impact of browser and portal settings on the format of the displayed data applies only to the actual date fields. When the field is only text completed e.g. by a business rule using the SQL query – the format will be transferred through the configuration of this rule.
During configuration of the text field, the formatted value of the date field can be set as a default value.

Number field format depending on the configuration
a) Floating-point number
The configuration below displays the floating-point number with a precision of two decimal places, this precision can be set in the “Number of decimal places” field.

The format of the floating-point number also depends on the currently selected language version of WEBCON BPS.

b) Floating-point number as amount
After selecting the “Show as amount” field, you will see this number as amount. If you select the “Display format: Auto” option, the format of the displayed date will be according to the currently selected WEBCON BPS language version.

You can also configure that the number display format will be set regardless of the language version. To do this, select one of the displayed formats in the “Display format” field.

c) Floating-point number as amount with the currency code
After selecting the “Currency code” field and entering the currency code, the number with the indicated currency code is displayed on the form. The currency code can also be set by using the Editorpassing values from other form fields.
