Every year, we publish a major version that introduces a multitude of new features. Additionally, updated builds are released at least once a month, they aim to resolve any existing issues and implement small changes. These small changes can be tracked via our changelog (available at the bottom of this page), which compiles a list of all modifications made to a major version over its lifecycle.
Our latest major release is 2026.1 – [Whitepaper – Business overview]
Important: Before upgrading from one complete version to another (eg from 2021 to 2026) check if you have the appropriate license for the WEBCON version. We recommend that you activate the required license BEFORE upgrading the WEBCON system.
Important Licensing change from January 1, 2026 – WEBCON version 2026.1.4 overhauls the licensing model. After upgrading the environment, it is necessary to download the license package again.
Depending on the environment configuration and the licensing model used so far, different system behavior scenarios may occur after the upgrade. In particular, in environments that previously used legacy user licenses (User CAL), a 14-day transition period will be activated. During this period, both old and new licenses can operate in parallel, allowing administrators to switch users to the new license types.
A detailed description of the possible scenarios and the required administrative actions is available in the following article: [New WEBCON Licenses 2026]
Before upgrading, it is recommended to review the above article, identify the scenario applicable to a given environment, and plan any necessary administrative activities in advance. Special attention should be paid to the change in license management in the Perpetual model – starting from version 2026.1.4, user licenses are assigned by name rather than automatically.
