A new chapter – Designer Studio is coming to the browser
Application design on the WEBCON platform is entering a new stage. With WEBCON 2027 R1, the new web-based Designer Studio will make its debut.
The new version of one of the platform’s key tools will be available directly in the browser – with no need to install an application on your workstation or manage local updates. This means greater flexibility, easier access to the design environment, and a modern interface built specifically for working on the web.
Why is Designer Studio moving to the browser?
For years, Designer Studio has supported WEBCON designers in building and developing business applications. Its web-based version addresses the needs of teams for whom easy access to tools, the ability to get started quickly, and the freedom to work from different locations are becoming increasingly important.
The new Designer Studio will provide:
Most key functionality available from day one
The first web-based Designer Studio will debut with WEBCON 2027 R1, scheduled for release at the end of November 2026. From day one, users will already have access to most of the functionality they know from Legacy Designer Studio.
This will include, among others, the ability to configure standard processes, build workflows and forms, add most types of actions, and use all form field types.
The remaining capabilities will be added progressively in subsequent releases, with full feature parity with Legacy Designer Studio planned by May 2027.
Stay tuned – the best is yet to come
Over the coming weeks, we will reveal more, showcasing the capabilities of the web-based Designer Studio, its features, and the next stages of its development. Don’t miss any of the updates!
