Attachments larger than 28 MB cannot be edited

This limitation is due to the restrictions of the WebDAV protocol, which is used to establish communication between MS Word and WEBCON BPS. I recommend using the OneDrive editing option, as described in this article: https://community.webcon.com/posts/post/working-with-onedrive-files/341/18.

I thought as much. Unfortunately this is not an option due the criticality of the document content, the customer won't allow storage in onedrive.

Is there any "hacky" way around this WebDAV limitation?

Currently, there is no recommended way to bypass this limitation. Even the "hacky" methods found on Stack Overflow don't work, as WEBCON BPS performs checks and prevents editing files that exceed the limit.
