Unique value of the item list column NOT NOW
7

MVP

Hi,
It often happens that the list of items should have unique values, at least in 1 column.
Currently, I often create and add a script to check when adding an item with this value already exists.
A great convenience would be the option in the column configuration, 'unique item'.
The user would receive an alert that an item with this value has already been added to the list.

Regards.

Hi,

I fully support Karol's user voice.

It would be great if there would exist a checkbox "uniqueness" that automatically prevents that an entry can be added more than one time in an item list. Think of an item list with particpants of a workshop. One person should not be more than once in the list. One way to get this done is via a form rule that check's if the new added value is already present in the column of the item list and than to delete the entry from the column field. It would be easier with a checkbox that automatically filters out all entries of the data source that have already been added to the item list.

Daniel has some hints for uniqueness checks too:

Thanks for your statement Michal. Let's use the "workarounds" and hope this will be developed one day.

Kind Regards
