Subject: Issue with RichText MultiLine Fields After Upgrade to 2024.1.1.187
Dear WEBCON team,
Over the past two weeks, we upgraded our servers from 2023.1.3.29 to 2024.1.1.187.
We are now encountering the same issue that Michał Ludwiczak described on 2025-01-03:
He reported:
"I've just found out that when I switch a multiple lines of text field from standard to formatted, it simply disappears, and a type error occurs without further explanation. Is this just happening to me, or is it a common issue in the latest version?"
We are experiencing the same problem across different servers, along with an unexpected exception.
[EXTERNAL PROD SERVER]
We are using RichText MultiLine fields.
We receive a TypeError message: the label is displayed, but the control field is missing.
When switching the field to standard text, the error disappears. However, switching it back to formatted text causes the error to reoccur.
Now the strange part – Test Results:
[INTERNAL PROD & TEST] → No issues
[INTERNAL DEV] → Same error as EXTERNAL PROD
When we deploy the production version of the application to the DEV environment, the previously working version starts exhibiting the same issue.
Initially, we suspected the issue was caused by adding HTML tags to the field. However, on [EXTERNAL PROD], the affected fields were empty with no default value.
Since the User Voice thread was closed, have you already found a solution for this issue?
Or are we the second team to encounter this problem?
We appreciate any assistance you can provide.
Best regards,
Bjoern & Lena
