This article presents the functionality of Favorites available in WEBCON BPS 2020 and the new better way of displaying these elements in version 2021.
As in web browsers, the WEBCON BPS platform has a list of elements that can be quickly accessed using the Favorites menu. Each user has the option of building their own list.
To add an element to favorites, first, open it in your Portal. Then, hit the star button in the menu on the top right, press the "Add to favorites" button, enter the name for the shortcut and confirm by pressing "Save."
After saving the data, the shortcut should be added to your "Favorites" as a button. It will be listed when you press the star button (top right) and on your Home page. Once pressed, it will open the Portal's window you had opened when you were creating it.
You can change your favorite element's display order by clicking the three dots next to it and choosing one of the available options:
Move on top - moves the selected element to the top of the list,
Move up - moves the selected element one position higher on the list,
Move down - moves the selected element one position lower on the list,
Move to bottom - moves the selected item to the bottom of the list.
The changes will be reflected on your Home page too. In the "Favorites" section, these elements are displayed as tiles. It is a new feature of WEBCON BPS 2021.
Your favorite elements will be listed from left to right, with the element from the top of the favorites list on the left and the element from the bottom of the list as the last item on the right. If you wish, you can drag and drop the tiles to re-order your favorites.
Every element from the BPS Portal can be added to Favorites. Because of that, you can create shortcuts to reports, views, buttons launching a specific workflow, and many more.
Now, with WEBCON BPS 2021, you can conveniently start workflows and open reports from the Portal's home page.
