Cooperation with the Cracow University of Economics (UEK)

Although the exam session is still ongoing and formally the academic year 2022/2023 has not yet ended, we can now share with you a summary of the first stage of cooperation between UEK and WEBCON.

The summer semester:

• WEBCON BPS was the basic working tool for students of "Applied Computer Science" who chose the subject "Developing applications on a Low-Code platform". Students had at their disposal the full version of the system (educational version), on which they designed and launched business processes, and the goal of completing the course was to create an application that supported one of the document flows used at the university.

• During two meetings with students of the "Accounting and Controlling" major, we talked about process automation, implementation design, change management, and the changing model of a manager and an employee in business (Citizen Assisted Development).

There was a high interest in topics related to:

• • Global technological trends (Gartner, Forrester reports)
  • Changes in the labor market - who is the business looking for today
  • Real case studies – challenges faced by our clients.

• At the end of the semester, we delivered two publicly available presentations:
  • The first on Low Code (LCAP) platforms and their impact on the functioning of companies, applied project methodologies and changes in the work model.
  • During the second, more technical one, we looked at the Low Code platform from the point of view of its author - an IT company. We talked about the tools we use, technological and business challenges we have to face, changes in the IT market and the most interesting implementations for our clients - especially those that forced us to look for non-standard solutions. The content presented at the meeting met with great interest from both students and employees of the University.

This is the first year (actually a semester) of our cooperation - a lot has happened, we have many conclusions, ideas and plans for the future.
