Examples: - Globals -- constants -- business rules -- form rules fields -- fields - Data source -- Dictionaries -- Templates - SDKs If the export hits one of these elements no further related elements should be gathered. Hello all!! Does anyone configured a rule where the action goes on each row of an item list and if a row has option A for a specific column then column B cannot be empty? There are some new functions for the item list but they only work as form rules and for action (even creating a business rule, form rules don't work as it needs to a TRUE/FALSE result). Even using SQL Command I think it
(...) Hello folks, I have to create a Word file with data from several workflows and therefore created business rules with SQL Commands in them to help me with that. The problem is, those business rules are nowhere to be found in the business rules section of the Word Add-in. Several other rules are shown, but those with SQL Commands in them are just not there. Is this a known behaviour, or a bug, or is there a wo (...)
(...) Hello, I tried create sql script for created a global business rule with existing multiple global business rules . I tried use of multiple global business rule ( with parameters) in one global business rule (with parameters). Every global business rule used has parameters. The business rule that appeals to the other business rules has parameters that are mapped in the appealed rules. I get the error when I (...)
Hi there. Trying to familiarize myself with the for each action. I have an item list an I want a business rule to evaluate the value for each row of a certain column (choice field) an execute an action for it. Unfortunately, as soon as I have more than one row in the item list, the BR evaluation will fail as it attempts to test against all the row values for the specified column. My BR u
(...) It is also crucial to know which are used within the specific Application. We can dig into the BPS Studio and check Application, Process, Worfklow, Document Types permissions. We can check actions, business rules , etc. We can try to do it better via SQL or/and WebCon BPS Application. It is well described here: https://community.webcon.com/posts/post/checking-user-and-group-privileges/258/3 Sometimes we nee (...)
Hello, In many places we are able to create Process Business Rule from rule typed in a field (visibility, required, and many others). Similarly with form rules. I have a case, where i need to use same mail that is already being used, but to different people. (exactly 12 contents). Right now it requires manual creation of templates by copy-pasting them from action into e-mail template. Coul
(...) t will show ok once you double click it. (picture 1) 2. I have another ForEach and inside I made a business rule that uses, again, info from column collection and it is working, but when I go to all business rules and open it i will see something similar with the first example. (picture 2) The actions work, but they might look broken the first time you see them. Is this normal? Best regards!
(...) eads up so other people dont fall for the issue that hit us today. I wanted to share some info regarding the update from 2022 to 2023, as we ran into some very unsatisfying issues with SQL COMMAND business rules that are querying field IDs. It hit us on some neuralgic spots in our main workflow, causing quite some pain right now. If you still have to update to 2023 make sure you test every SQL COMMAND bas (...)
Hi, it would be nice if it would be possible to define local and global configurations for regular expressions like it is possible for business and form rules. There are many regular expressions that we need very often and it would be nice having them as templates for the expressions and the error message. The way to create a global field is known and used too but we don't want global fields
(...) ns no result. The name of the AD-Group field is "testgroup" - tested with an ALERT. It would be great if passing a "person or group" field to the "group member" function would work as it does in the business rules . Could this be a bug? Or are we missing anything? Kind Regards Sébastien
(...) Hi, while we can create business rules which act similar to table valued / scalar functions, we can't pass the columns/data to them. The inner business rules are executed before the outer SQL command is executed. This comes in really handy in a lot of cases but also has it's limitation and will require creating repetitive code. I would suggest the following: Create a new "type" "SQL function" Prope (...)
(...) hallenge - I'm currently reaching max # of Choose fields in my process. Trying to avoid future troubles I'm adding new workflows in a new process, and this leads to massive amount of duplicates of: business rules , constants, automations (fortunately not form rules). Let's say i have a business rule which contains some users call it 'Manager Role' - inside of the app, there are many manager roles, but lets (...)
(...) flexibility: Dynamic adaptation to different inputs or contexts is cumbersome or impossible without workarounds. Proposed Improvement: Introduce parameter support for Data Sources, similar to how business rules allow input parameters. Parameters could include: - Filter values (e.g., a specific cost center, OU, or status) - Context values (e.g., current user, workflow field, or system variable) This wou (...)
(...) Hi, right now app, process and workflow's associated form type user privileges can only be set for users and/or groups. It would be great if global business rules could be used too. A filter could be set that only global business rules with return type „user list“ can be used. This way e.g. a business admin could manage users in a dictionary and dynamic privileges would be possible with a business rule t (...)
(...) Hi, unfortunatelly global "objects" (business rules , form rules, constants, automations) have no app binding functionality as data sources have. Some global constants, business or form rules and automations may contain critical data (e.g. api tokens) that should not be useable by all devs with studio access. An option to set an object as protected and enabling an app binding to allow the usage would solve (...)
(...) Hi, right now configurations are process specific and contain amongst others business rules , form rules, constants, automations. If multiple processes of the same app or even other apps need one of those there is the possibility to create a global equivalent in system settings. Unfortunatelly global objects have no app binding functionality as data sources have. Some global constants, business or form rul (...)
