Feature Request – Centralized Management of Webcon Mobile App Configuration via MDM Intune NOT NOW
0

Dear Webcon Team,

I would like to kindly request the addition of a feature that would allow centralized management of the Webcon Mobile App configuration across multiple iOS and Android devices using a configuration file distributed through MDM Intune.
This functionality would apply specifically to the WEBCON BPS 2022 mobile application.
This feature would greatly enhance the deployment and maintenance of mobile app settings in large organizations by enabling administrators to standardize and automate app configurations without the need for manual input on individual devices. Key capabilities I would suggest for this feature include:
1. Support for Configuration Files – The ability to import or apply settings from a predefined configuration file.
2. Integration with MDM Intune – Seamless compatibility with MDM Intune or other mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
3. Configuration Parameters – Settings for server address, authentication preferences, notifications, and other key app behaviors.
4. Bulk Device Support – Apply consistent configurations across numerous mobile devices with minimal effort.
This functionality would significantly improve efficiency, security, and user experience by reducing the risk of misconfiguration. We believe that many Webcon customers who manage enterprise environments would greatly benefit from such an enhancement.

For reference, I would like to highlight related topics that have already been discussed in the community:

Hi Damian,

while it's great that you put together all the related posts, I just want to point out that the development support for WEBCON BPS 2023 will end in three months:
https://community.webcon.com/posts/post/webcon-bps-development-support-policy/520/10

Therefore I highly doubt, that anything will be changed for an older version.

Besides this, there's a complete new mobile application which doesn't use this kind of configuration. This was replaced by a simple QR Code which the users can scan simply scan:

Best regards,
Daniel

Hi Damian, I sustain what Daniel said. We are not planning on investing in further development of BPS Mobile 2022. It can be pushed via Intune, however without user profiles.
With that said, we're focusing on the future development of our current solutions.
