Change field value from cyclical global action

Hi,

I can see that in Cyclical Global Action there is possibility to use Change Field Value action. But I can't select any field on configuration tab. Does anyone know what is the problem? How I should use it?

My business case is that I need to update a field which is based on some dictionary. Simply task - replace one value with another. It is needed to comply with some other needs and keep the data clean.

My version is 2025.1.1.23

Hi Arek,

the action can only be used in combination with automation parameters in a cyclical action.

The cyclical action itself runs without a context.

You can use either the "Move workflow (sql)" action and add the necessary actions to the path of the workflow or use the "Update related workflow instance" action. The later one is the same as hitting the save button.

Ok, now it's clear. I knew about "Move workflow (sql)" and "Update related workflow instance" actions but this "Change Field Value" confused me :) Thank you.
