[external] Application hub with another domain

WEBCON BPS 2025 R2 added the Application hub feature, which offers the option to create an alternative URL for an application with other authentication providers.

This has already been documented by WEBCON but the whole posts mention "subdomains". I didn't like the implied limitation and wanted to verify whether an application can be published on a different domain.
