Most applications supporting business process automation are created in IT departments. The key to success is the effective communication of requirements and expectations – the quality of the completed system depends on how well its specifications were communicated between the intended audience and designer.. Thanks to the effective cooperation of IT departments with business departments, it is possible to create a useful and intuitive application that meets all business requirements at the same time. This article describes the concept of WEBCON BPS Designer Desk and presents how it can be operated to include business users in the design process. The example we use is a simple application for handling incoming correspondence.

From version 2021, you can authenticate in WEBCON BPS with any provider using the OpenID Connect standard. In this article, we explain how to configure it using Google authentication as an example. Please note that the configuration is identical when you use another provider.

Along with the introduction of the new version of WEBCON BPS 2021, changes in the graphical appearance of the portal have also been made. The new WEBCON BPS 2021 Portal appearance increases the ergonomics of using the platform and enables even greater graphic personalization of the application. This article describes the most important visible differences compared to the 2020 version. On the main page of the platform, the favorites elements (applications, reports, etc.) are displayed as tiles, similar to the "Frequently used applications" section.

WEBCON BPS 2019 Portal introduces a brand new method of searching for instances in the database. Search is based on SOLR engine which allows for a quick search even in very large data collections. By using SOLR technology, user can influence on how the engine searches indexed data and as a result – what the results are. Using appropriate parameters in the query allows for more precise results. Data entered to the system by the users is indexed in real time which means that it can be searched for almost immediately after it appears in the system. However a few seconds may pass between entering values to the system by the user (form field save) and creation of a new index for a modified instance in SOLR base.
