Introduction
WEBCON BPS Standalone is an installation of the system that operates without SharePoint. Since version 2020.1.3., new functionality that allows you to manage BPS groups and users has been added. This article describes how to create and delete BPS groups.
Configuration
The simple workflow has been created that allows you to submit a request for adding and deleting a BPS group. The request is sent to the accepting person who can approve or reject it. The “Create BPS group” and “Delete BPS group” actions are executed on the “Accept” path. In the “Request type” field, a user can select the appropriate action (Add/Delete).

The “Registering person” and “Date” fields are automatically filled in. After selecting the “Add” option in the “Request type” field, the “New group name” field will appear on the form – enter the group name you want to create.
At the next step, the person who is responsible for adding or deleting BPS groups can approve or reject the request.

On the “Accept” path, actions used to add or delete users has been implemented, which are triggered when a certain condition is met. The action of adding a group will be executed if the “Request type” field is set on the “Add” position (ID=1).

In the configuration window there are several options:
The “Synchronization mode” parameter defines whether the action is to wait for the synchronization process to complete. Both synchronization modes are described in the context help in the system under the “F1” button (and in the Managing BPS groups).
After going through the accept path, let’s check if the group is available in the system. To do this, go to Designer Studio -> System settings -> Global parameters -> BPS users list.

After selecting the “Remove” option in the “Request type” field, the “Select group to delete” field for selecting the BPS group that you want to delete will appear on the form.
To limit the possible selection only to BPS group, select the “BPS group selection” option in the configuration of this action (Fig. 8).
