The Hotmailbox in WEBCON BPS uses Ecxhange EWS to read emails, so if any mail server has an Exchange compatibile EWS - it will work. Zimbra has an EWS so it should work (I do not know if EWS in Zimbra is free). But... It is NOT SUPPORTED solution - use it on your risk.
The WEBCON BPS 2021 R2 is planned for the end of February. In the meantime, there will be one or two versions with Hot-fixes.

You do not need to upgrade your installation to 2022.1.1.41. You can skip that version and upgrade your installation direct to any next 2022.x.x.x version.

There is no supported method to publish Classic WEBCON BPS Webparts on the Sharepoint online site. That's why we've made "Modren Webparts". Authentication is one of the problems (but not the only one).
