(...) mployees frequently use various reports in their daily tasks, it was decided to streamline their work by making all reports available in one place within the application: the dashboard.   filtering with the Filter widget Creating the "Information about orders" dashboard, which includes reports, turned out to be a great success. Employees now have all the data they need in one place (...)

External content by Daniel Krüger; April 19, 2025 ;  The original post has appeared on daniels-notes.de   I’ve redesigned the Gantt chart implementation to make use of the standard filter widget. Even if you are not interested in the Gantt chart itself, my approach to reuse the filter widget may be interesting for you. The new post focuses on the difference fro

Some context - while we bind existing processes in another application, My Task section sums number of tasks from all connected processes. I know that as user i can filter them, but my proposal is to add some option for connected processes to not appering in active tasks section at all :)

(...) Currently, views do not allow dynamic filtering on views for datetime and people-picker fields. It can be done by extending the query in the datasource. The datasource can only be changed by administrators and designers. For end-users it would by great having the possibility to use placeholders for filtering datetime and people-picker fields. My idea is having placeholders like [now] / [today], which wo (...)

Hi everyone, maybe I have a wrong idea how a multi value picker field is used in filters/groups in reports. Current situation: The picker field will store the selected values in the order they have been chosen. If you use this field as a group, every unique "string" will be used as a group. Example: Workflow instance 1: IT: Research & Development Workflow instance 2: IT: Research

I have a process with 2 workflows. Those workflows have similar steps. When I would like to filter elements by step, but the number for elements is incorrect. When I check one value, a second value with the same name is checked too, but I see data only from one workflow.

Hello, I have a form and in the form I have items based on data source. Additionally I add checkbox field to every position on this list. I want to filter this list, when I go to the next step, where there will be only checked items (checkbox). I don't know how to do it?? Regards

(...) e a predefined datasource (SQL query based on WFElements), this is shown under (1) in attached picture. The datasource I am using selects all elements from a specific formtype and needs additional filtering in SQL query window (2). But I am unable to do that, every attempt so far resulted in syntax error. I am sure there is a trick (which is maybe undocumented), please help! Thanks a lot in adv (...)

(...) n 'Current BPS connection'. A workaround here is the 1. statement (IF (1=1)). This query does seem to work (it is showing the right results in the right step). What does not seem to work is the filtering on user input. Query seems to be evaluated all the time, showing ALL results regardless of user input. Is there any other way to achieve such a requirement? Thanks a lot in advance, best regard (...)

(...) business would like to select two or more categories and when they do so the product group is empty. Is there a smart solution for that? Maybe in case of selection of more than 1 product category the filtering will not be applied? thanks in advance for help.

[Location] Process attributes > Attribute of a Select type using a BPS data source > filtering section [The bug] In a data source filter, when using the ALL_TRUE operator, the WHERE condition in a generated query is prematurely simplified, what results in an SQL error. (...) Please verify the ability to filter by each column type in the item lists. filtering on the header is similar to an Excel spreadsheet.

Hi, I have a case where I'd like to filter the source live or validate those rows. What do I mean? If I select a number from 1 to 40, lets say 1, from a field, I won't be able to select that position in the next row. I'd like to do this in a way that doesn't require the user to save the form a hundred times ( everysingle pick ) or using have the system throw them away and redirect them to the sa

(...) Hi, Is there a chance to add alternative way of filtering data on reports based on text fields rather than filtering specific values? It's quicker for user to enter directly search phrase rather than choosing from list, even filtered values (sometimes user have to check multiple options that meet search phrase). Additionally it skips one sql query used for generating list of values in filter. It could be (...)

Hey everyone, is anyone else experiencing an issue with the “Choose application” dialog? On version 2025.2.1.179. when I click Choose application and start typing in the “Search application…” field, the tab automatically switches from Most used to All, instead of staying where it was. Also, the system doesn’t actually filter based on what I type — it just shows a random list of applications.

Quite often we have the use case, that we need to provide a personalized dataset. With SQL data sources we do have the possibility to use calculated fields with a subquery. Which could end up with performance issues when using large datasets. As an example this calculated column returns 1 if the first letter of the COS_ExtensionAttribute05 field in the COS table matches the value of the dataset.

(...) Hi, it would be great if data tables would not only support sorting in the portal but filtering too as it is supported in reports. Moreover I suggest to enable the override sort settings in the Studio for a data table to set a default sort order. Example use case: Data table with all cycle automations of workflows with amongst others the column Next Launch. Default sorting should be Next Launch ascen (...)
