Hello Community, Does anyone established the connection between Sales Force and Webcon? I have all the documentation on the Webcon side for the REST API but I'm finding some difficulties on the Sales Force side as I'm not sure on where and how to configure the necessary steps to get the connection between the 2 systems. Thank you all for the attention!

Hi Andreia, I didn't have any contact with Sales Force yet but I would do the following: 1. Download the Salesforce Postman collection from: https://www.postman.com/salesforce-developers/workspace/salesforce-developers/collection/12721794-67cb9baa-e0da-4986-957e-88d8734647e2?ctx=documentation 2. Setup Salesforce and verify that authentication and some other REST API can be executed in Postman.

Hi Daniel! Thank you for the guidelines! I'm just not sure if I need the Sales Dev or any specific account to get the authentication details but I will need to search online for any help! Never worked with this Rest API stuff so everything is very new! Thank you!

Hi Daniel, Just one question, do we always need to use the postman for the rest api? Or do you know if it's possible to configure the direct connection between Webcon and another app

Hi Andreia, Postman is just a tool for testing/consuming a REST API. In the end WEBCON will communicate directly with Salesforce but it could take you longer to achieve it when you have no experience with REST in either system. Using postman, you can concentrate on setting up Salesforce, test all the APIs you need. This means, how they are called, for example whether it makes a difference if you

Hi All! Does anyone have experience with integrating WEBCON with SAP Success Factors, particularly Employee Central?

Hi Monika, No experience here unfortunately. Could you maybe elaborate more on what you want to achieve? Maybe we'll be able to at least point in some direction :) It seems like they have some REST API: https://api.sap.com/package/SuccessFactorsEmployeeCentral/odata which could be useful.

(...) If there are no APIs available they have the RFC capability and you can develop a custom .NET sdk plugin for this kind of integrations. You still need to be familiar with the SAP BAPI functions, but it allows you to communicate without an API. If you are interested I can offer some sdk examples. So far I have worked only with creating purchase orders, good movements and registering bills in SAP.

Thanks! It is about checking the feasibility of connection between the platforms. We are looking if anyone has ever done it, from a process perspective and could share experience - technically I believe it is possible. It is about HR processes, where EC keeps the golden employee records, but workflows/approvals/generating documents etc are happening in WEBCON.

Hi Raluca, thanks for the answer. I will pass the tip to the developer working on it. Will come back with more questions at later stage if needed. Have a great day! m.
