WEBCON BPS 2021, introduces the Set Focus form function has which can be used to automatically place the cursor in the edited field, after loading the form or changing the field value. Thanks to this, you do not have to manually place the cursor in the field.
This article presents the operation of this function based on a business scenario – accounting process. Below you can see the form at the cost invoice registration step. The edit cursor is automatically set in the “Invoice number” field.

When an accounting document is processed by the OCR module, some of the form fields may remain blank. You can configure the form rule so that the cursor will be automatically placed on a field unfilled by OCR.
In the presented example, the “Set focus” form rule containing the set focus function has been defined in the Behavior tab and will be executed during each form loading.
Fig. 2. Using the Set focus form rule in the Behavior tab
As you can see below, the rule will be executed only at the “Registration” step, and the edit cursor will be placed in the first empty edit field among the fields used in this rule.
