(...) are waiting that this is closed. Because you don't have access to the ERP systems it can't tell your workflow that it's finished and you need to pull the state. In this case I would create a separate monitoring workflow. A new instance will be created via a cycling action. 1. Step: Gather all waiting workflows in an item list 2. Step: Query the ERP system for the state of those workflows 3. Step: Compare (...)

(...) Hi Nik, after you "confirmed" my assumption I would still recommend this approach of creating a "monitoring" workflow 1. Step: Get the json as an attachment 2. Step: Parse the relevant data to an item list 3. Step: Update the item list with the corresponding workflow id and set an Action column to "Undefined" 4. Step: Set an Action column to a state: Do nothing, Fields Change 5. Step: Update all workflows (...)

(...) o do it unattended. You could send yourself a mail, if something goes wrong during the path transition in the timeout. Depending on your situation you can also add a cyclical action, to delete old "monitoring" workflows after 30 /60 days. Cyclical actions: https://community.webcon.com/posts/post/cyclical-actions/106 I'm using this approach in multiple situations. It may be slower than it could be, (...)

(...) Hi kaluser, I should have added an image of my suggestion earlier and sorry for repeating myself The cyclical action only starts the "monitoring" workflow (1). On each step there's a timeout which executes triggers a path transition (2). I prefer to do more steps, so that each step does one thing. This way I can easily verify the retrieved/modified data and I don't need to take care of any unexpec (...)
