In the WEBCON BPS 2020 version, the attachment preview window has been expanded with the option to switch to the preview of the next or previous attachment from the list of all files attached to instances. There is also the option to download an attachment directly from the preview window. Also the 'Drag and Drop' mechanism was also expanded. It works more efficiently and you can drag e-mail directly from Outlook.

The WEBCON BPS system enables the synchronization of exchange rates. The available sources of currency data are exchange rate tables provided by the National Bank of Poland, the European Central Bank, and the Central Bank of Russia. This article describes how to download and convert the rates provided by the European Central Bank (ECB). The table of exchange rates of the ECB returns the conversion rate of how many units of a given currency corresponds to the value of one euro. The article also shows how to convert the exchange rate on weekends (the ECB exchange rate table does not return values for weekends).

This article describes the process of integration WEBCON BPS with Keycloak. Keycloak is an open source software that enables single sign-on using identity and access management in modern applications and services.

Requirements:
* WEBCON BPS StandAlone (version 2021) – the portal available with the use of SSL by the address in the FQDN format.
* Keycloak Server (the article uses version 12.0.3) - the site available with the use of SSL by the address in the FQDN format.

The model way of implementing the WEBCON BPS system is to work on three types of environments. Processes are configured on the development environment, tests of the created solution are carried out on the test environment, and end-users of the system work on the production environment. Moving processes or changes in processes between environments is possible by using the built-in application import/export mechanism. Starting from version 2021.1.1, the mechanism was extended with transferring the contents of the dictionary processes and workflows for storing document templates. The addition of the ability to transfer data from dictionary processes allows for the improvement of the process of migrating applications between environments

The key to success is the effective communication of requirements and expectations – the quality of the completed system depends on how well its specifications were communicated between the intended audience and designer.. Thanks to the effective cooperation of IT departments with business departments, it is possible to create a useful and intuitive application that meets all business requirements at the same time. This article describes the concept of WEBCON BPS Designer Desk and presents how it can be operated to include business users in the design process. The example we use is a simple application for handling incoming correspondence.

In WEBCON BPS, it is possible to change users' synchronization from an already existing source using the WEBCON BPS installer. This article presents how to change users' synchronization from AD (Active Directory) to ADD (Azure Active Directory). Before changing the configuration of BPS users synchronization in Azure, create a dedicated synchronization application – for more information, see WEBCON BPS integration with Azure Active Directory. After starting the WEBCON BPS installer and approving license terms, select Tools for application management -> Users list.

The dashboard is a panel that allows you to prepare a dedicated page where you can add various elements (called widgets) such as reports, task counters, or HTML code. Widgets are used to build a personalized application page in WEBCON BPS Portal. The ability to create your own dashboards by using 10 widgets has appeared in WEBCON BPS 2019. In version 2020, the list of available widgets was enhanced and grouped by sections to make it easier to find them. In addition to increasing the number of elements, there is also the ability to replace the system main page of the application with its own version.

Along with the introduction of the new version of WEBCON BPS 2021, changes in the graphical appearance of the portal have also been made. The new WEBCON BPS 2021 Portal appearance increases the ergonomics of using the platform and enables even greater graphic personalization of the application. This article describes the most important visible differences compared to the 2020 version. On the main page of the platform, the favorites elements (applications, reports, etc.) are displayed as tiles, similar to the "Frequently used applications" section.

This article presents the functionality of Favorites available in WEBCON BPS 2020 and the new way of displaying these elements in version 2021. Now, they are not only a list of shortcuts, but you also see them as tiles on your Portal's Home page.


Every element from the  BPS Portal can be added to Favorites. Because of that, you can create shortcuts to reports, views, buttons launching a specific workflow, and many more. With WEBCON BPS 2021, you can conveniently start workflows and open reports from the Portal's home page. 

In business practice, it may be necessary to grant access to WEBCON BPS Portal and its processes to users from outside the organization. Such a user will most often not have an account in the organizational Active Directory (or in another user database). Examples of such situations: processes of negotiating contracts with contractors, employment of subcontractors and contract employees or consultation with external consultants. So that external users do not have to be added to the organizational user database, WEBCON BPS allows you to add them from the portal’s administration panel. After adding the user, they must be granted appropriate privileges to the required WEBCON BPS processes.
