(...) he Warning Sign is still there. What could we do to solve this Problem? It is possible to go on with the Installation. Should we do that (because it is installed) or will we have issues because the installer does not recognize the .Net Core Hosting Bundle 2.1?

Hi, Please try to install ASP.NET Core 2.1 from below link: https://download.visualstudio.microsoft.com/download/pr/cf7b17e3-ed6d-4ded-8ae6-9f83ffaaca98/9d2ca844baa4a4a9ed83861ffc8e293e/dotnet-hosting-2.1.30-win.exe I had a similar case and it helped me Regards

(...) rst installation attempt did not work out (login problems webcon designer studio), i uninstalled webcon and sharepoint. I installed Sharepoint 2016 again and also the latest security update. Now the installer does not recognize the sharepoint web parts (see picture below). Did anybody have this issue yet? Do you have any idea how to fix this? Is it ok, to skip this? Kind regards, Christian

Hi Christian, based on the screenshot I would assume, that no web application has been created, at least non has been found. Without one, you won't be able to install the solutions. Here's a post using the GUI https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/create-web-application-in-sharepoint-server-2016/ Off topic: It would have been enough to uninstall WEBCON BPS, remove the databases and solutions. (...) Hi everyone, i created a Web Application and in that Step, the installer accepted it. Unfortunately, in the next step, the site could not be found in the web application SPWebApplication Name=SharePoint - 80. (see screenshot). Does anybody have an idea how to fix this? Kind regards PS: @Daniel, thanks for the hint.

Hi Christian, I'm only guessing here, but it could be that it's not verified whether a root site collection really exists. Or the installation user doesn't has access to it. Can you browse the provided URL and see anything SharePoint related there? In case you need to create one: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/SharePoint/sites/create-a-site-collection I don't want to offend but I get the feel

Does anyone know the official answer to that? I don't seem to find any descriptions anywere on the site.

Hi Razvan, I don't remember the thread but it was answered, that full package contains all the necessary components to run WEBCON BPS in a SharePoint environment. These are missing in the standalone version. Of course the modern web parts are available in the standalone version. Best regards, Daniel

Thanks! I've been searching before posting, but the search let me down again :P

Dear Razvan and Daniel, In Standalone installation guide (inside installation folder) there is information like this: 1. Prerequisites WEBCON BPS has access to several modes of installation that take into account different combinations of available platforms and the needs of users. The following document describes StandAlone installation variant based on IIS website (without MS SharePoint p

Hi Adam, thanks for the update. I tend to forget to look at the installation guide, sometimes there are worthwhile information. :) I'm cross linking this thread in case someone stumbles about the "dynamic compression module" BPS 2022: Enable IIS feature "Dynamic Component" https://community.webcon.com/forum/thread/1248/45 Best regards, Daniel
