Quick Manual should be entry point, to see quick manual right now user must enter form to start process first. The order shall be the other way: first read manual, later start process.
Currently our report-menu for some processes is getting longer and longer. One reason for that is the fact, that some people have issues understanding they have to choose a report and can then navigate on the other side of the form by the views we have set up for them. Mostly people who count their daily clicks and tell you to change the system if they have to do 10 more a day, because you have set something up the way it makes sense. Dear Webcon. Designer Studio is a great tool, and visual workflow editor is a great tool too, but it's missing a compliance with visual proces definition standards, like BPMN 2.0. Can you please implement a BPMN import feature ? Sure it won't be easy (since the differences in process/workflow definitions) but still it should be posiible to implement some basic imports, even if not all data from BPMN diagrams could be imported. Hi, no idea about the future plans for the portal, but you should definitely consider adding some more functions, like: - user defined left menu - pages, not just dashboards - option to turn off the default dashboard - dashboard HTML element should have some kind of HTML editor, not just a narrow window for code pasting. It's hard to make any changes without copy/paste to external editor - dashboard text element is too narrow, it should be resizable ! Almost impossible to edit large amount of (...)
Can you please add an option to encrypt fields, and user configure who can decrypt ? Why ? Becouse, in some business appliactions, administrators not always should be able to see some confidential information send in BPS forms. Senders should decide.
In new versions o WebCon BPS using Word templates are now using GUID identifier witch enables using it's in all environments. But the functionality o Word templates are very simple. It's now enough flexible for control conditions for hide, show etc. information's. For example: You can not show header of table, but empty row is always. In HTML you can control this. Adding using GUID in HTML templates give the more flexible possibility to build templates witch information
1.) Delegated tasks or tasks received because of substitution rules are always shown as "Substitution". This confuses people sometimes, because they then might think they will receive all of the delegators tasks. It would be better to show delegated tasks as Delegated. 2.) Since we updated to Version 2019 and 2020 we lost the functionality for users to create substitutions for other colleagues. Designer Studio gives the possibility to apply additional button styles. Adding the possibiltiy to define additional class attributes on the path properties would make the styling easier. The custom styles could be defined in the new html-field (for every process we would have to define it again) or much better, let it define in the themes editor! I need a tool to transfer permissions for requests to a new user. The substitution tool works similarly, but it can only be used temporarily. It would be helpful to specify the person or ID from which the permissions are copied, the recipient, and a checkbox to indicate whether the permissions should be revoked from the person they are copied from.
Hi, please unlock the dropdown in the offset setting of a timer. If so it would be possible to select eg 15 minutes to have a delay before the first activation. The „workaround“ with a technical field that gets set NOW + 15 minutes wouldn‘t be necessary with this enabled selection. Currently, when clicking an attachment either the preview is displayed or the document is being downloaded, which is fine if the element is in view mode. However, in edit mode, it would be great to have the possibility to configure the whether the document should be opened to be edited or as preview/download. Idealy, this would be a business rule, which returns the default action. By having this possibility, we could open a word document in edit mode and and other documents as preview/dow (...)
Dear Community, Currently, when accessing the homepage of WEBCON BPS, the browser title bar displays the name defined in: System Settings → Global Parameters → Appearance → Portal name However, when navigating to a specific application, the title bar only shows the Application name, which can lead to ambiguity - especially when multiple portals or environments are in use. Hi, a lot of our customers are using the WebDAV integration to modify office documents. Unfortunately, some employees don't just save the file when they are done but hit the save button quite frequently. This results in in a lot of versions and, depending on the file size, the database explodes. At the same time our customers are against deleting old versions. I’ve been wondering why Webcon doesn’t support Git integration. It could really help speed up the development of new features in workflows and make it easier to fix any critical bugs quickly. Webcon team — Git support would be a game-changer. Please consider adding it!
Would it be a problem to add a button "Show full error description" (available only for admin users maybe) on the error notification pop-ups ? It would sometimes speed up the debuging. When error shows up on production environment you have to log on to production designer to see what is going on and then to dev designer to fix it. Knowing exact error description would let you sometimes fix/analyze it faster
I would like to be able to add a hyperlink to a choice field and make the selected value clickable. Just selecting a column in the data source which provides the link would be sufficient, however building it through an expression like the "Link to a form for adding an object:" would be the best possible solution. Hi, At first the challenge - I'm currently reaching max # of Choose fields in my process. Trying to avoid future troubles I'm adding new workflows in a new process, and this leads to massive amount of duplicates of: business rules, constants, automations (fortunately not form rules). In the past, we had the requirement to force the user to add exactly one document. Of course, this can be done with validation rules. However, it would be perfect, if after reaching the maximum amount of attachments, the buttons to add new documents would be disabled. Just how it is already implemented for a dictionary template element.
Dear Community, Would it be possible to add an icon (such as an arrow, person, etc.) in the “Assigned to” column to indicate when a substitution is enabled (in report view)? For many years, users have found it confusing that items are still shown as assigned to the “original” user even when a substitute is active. While I understand the current logic, adding a small visual marker next to the name would make it much easier to quickly see when a substitution is set. Hope you find it useful (...)
