Designing Word-Templates is quite straight forward. However to check to look of the final document you have to run the action somewhere in the process. So this can be quite time consuming. Having a preview functionality would add a great value to WEBCON BPS. As we already have the option to load the form values from a workflow instance, the next step would be hitting the preview button to have a look at the filled template in a new document. Like it is being done in Word when using the mail (...)
It would be nice if you had the possibility to define the language in which a custom email is sent based on a form field or item list column. We have multiple applications where recipients of e-mails have to addressed in their own language regardless of the user language which is used in the form.
Hi, I propose to add in Bussines and Form rules internal parameters like in automatizations. I will be helpful for calculating or savng data to compare, not using JS mode.
We are coming across scenarios, where it is required to audit the views and not only changes on an element. Ideally we would be able to configure the audit level: - View element - View attachment - Download attachment - View in report (elements retrieved and displayed on reports) - Edit element - Delete element As additional auditing is likely to have performance impacts and also increase the database quite fast, it would be better to enable auditing on process level only. Hello everyone, having some experience in coding, makes it for me obvious that font used in text areas should be monospaced. Simply it's easier to read code, when it's monospaced. In attachment you can see and compare how that simple lines are better aligned, with monospaced font. When you edit some more complex SQL Queries, or when you deal with some custom HTML element - it would make life just easier. Does anybody has such a problem "An item with the same key has already been added."? It shows everywhere Leave of absence report is added I changed the source of data ( distinct, top 1) and nothing has changed.
In the notifications, if the user does not want to show the instance link and site link, the buttons keep showing up in the email but empty. If you want to erase them, the only option is to create a new template and discover in the HTML code where the buttons are configured. This makes no sense because the buttons don't have any other usage as showing the links so if the person chooses to hide them, it should behave as one compound only and not 2 separate things as the buttons alone, don't s (...)
Dear WebCon Team, in our view, we found following misbehaviour of the form field typ - Floating Point. If you try to set this field with a periodical fraction like (14/15)*100 = 93,333333... you will get an error message. In our oppinion this is a misbehaviour, because the field itself should handle such an "exception". And it is hard to find ;) A possible solution is to wrap the "Round" function around the rule/result before setting the value to the field. Could you please check, if this cou (...)
I know this might be a controversial one when it comes to performance, but sometimes it could be quite useful to be able to bring that value in reports. Some of that sometimes could also be done with calculated columns in reports, but it could be easier I suppose.
Hi. I'm looking for a solution to hide rows of a list element depending on the value of a list element column. I.e. for a task list I would like to have the row visible for everyone, until the checkbox "done" ist set "true". I tried with the "Acceptance" function (see Acceptance.png), but the issue is that I can make the column visible for a (single) defined user, but not for multiple users. Any ideas here? The preferred would be a "HIDE ITEM LIST ROW" function in the form rules. Kind regard (...)
Hi everyone, I'm not sure with which release the application group headers are transformed to lower case, but could we get rid of it again? I can live with all upper case, but transforming all characters to lower case after the first one is simply not acceptable. - Abbreviations look like word - The corporate design may define how some words are written - It looks like a spelling error. This is even more true in German, all nouns are written with a capital case. This applies to 2021.1.2.101. (...)
The management of BPS groups is only possible for WEBCON Admins. Some customers wish, that they can do this on their own, but we don't wont to give the required rights. We solved this by means of a little helper workflow, that enabled us to configure the BPS group to manage, a responsible person and an itemlist with the assigned users. This works quite nice this way. However, it would be great, when this option would be built-in. Could be either in the same place as for the admin or a widget (...)
Hi everyone, I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but whenever I create a dictionary, I replace (hide) the default Description single line field with a new multi line field. Therefore I would suggest to either rename the field to "Short description" or change the default field type. I'm not sure where it's used internally so that it's disabled to change it's type. Hi there, this week i used "compact Start Buttons" for the first time. With our windows settings [FullHD, Text Scale 100%], e.g. the small 'g' is cut off a little bit at the buttom. It's no big issue, but a few more pixels in the next version should work perfect. Thanks, Bjoern Poller
There's an option to switch from horizontal to vertical layout if you click on AND/OR operators. Could this be extended to all other operators, too. :) This would reduce the scrolling and therefore improve readability a lot.
Currently, views do not allow dynamic filtering on views for datetime and people-picker fields. It can be done by extending the query in the datasource. The datasource can only be changed by administrators and designers. For end-users it would by great having the possibility to use placeholders for filtering datetime and people-picker fields. My idea is having placeholders like [now] / [today], which would take the current datetime/date and also [me] for the current user.
We recently had a presentation of WEBCON BPS for a new customer. They came up with the question if not only changes of an element are being kept in history, but also views. So we need to define the definition, what as to be considered as a view. Sometimes you can tell a lot from what you see on a report already, but keeping track of this would be too much in my opinion. The easiest and most pragmatic way to keep track of views would be opening a preview or of course a form. Maybe also viewin (...)
It would be great if there would be a "Usages" options for BPS groups like it exists for the most other objects like Rules, Fields, Action Template, Data sources and so on. I'm already using two workaround 1) I created a constant for each bps group so that I can use this constant wherever possible. Unfortunately there are some cases where this is not possible. For example in a "Person or group" field where the picker is limited to a group. 2) I added the "SearchAllTables" stored procedure to (...)
Adding possibility to add SQL row as a column could be also a workaround to achieve that. Right now (BPS 2020...434) is is only possible to add instance number from system fields to mass notifications.
